Attorney at law specialising in Intellectual Property and professional representative before the EUIPO

Rosalía graduated in Law from the University of Valencia and specialised in IP with a Master’s Degree at the University of Alicante and a course at the London Guildhall University.
She started working in Madrid for a top Spanish law firm specialising in IP matters, where she acquired in-depth knowledge on litigation. In 1998, she moved to Alicante and worked for two reputed IP agencies as manager and head of department. In 2005, Rosalía established her own IP firm Ballester i Asociados, now called Ballester IP after a change of name in 2012.
By the end of 2012, Rosalía founded Interty, an association aiming at promoting cooperation amongst its members through the exchange of IP information. Nowadays, Interty has a wide network of members from all continents and continues to grow every year.
Throughout her career, Rosalía has closely worked with clients all over the world from different industries such as retail, toys, furniture, food or cosmetics. She regularly attends the main conferences such as INTA, MARQUES ASIPI, ECTA, PTMG, AIPPI, APAA or CTF to stay updated on the latest IP trends. She has collaborated in several INTA subcommittees for European legislation and Community Trademarks and Designs, and has also held master classes for the Magister Lvcentinvs of the University of Alicante and the Master’s Degree in Intellectual Property of the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid. Her professional efforts and her firm’s have been recognised many times by WTR and IAM Patent, among others.

Lucas Flores

Lucas Flores

Lucas graduated in Law from the Universidad of Alicante in 2014. He earned a LLM in IP and Competition Law from the University of Valencia in 2015, and a master’s degree in IT Law from the Centro de Estudios Financieros (CEF) in 2017. He is a Spanish Patent and Trademark Attorney registered before the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office since 2019.

As for his career, in 2015 Lucas started working in an IP law firm in Alicante as an attorney. He then joined the Operations Department of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) until 2017. After a short stage at the Legal Unit of the Community Plant Variety Office (CPVO) in France, Lucas joined Ballester IP.

Since 2018, Lucas regularly collaborates in INTA Committees and participates as speaker in forums, seminars and conferences on intellectual property. He also co-chairs the Intangible Asset Valuation Committee of LES Spain-Portugal.

Sara Mojica

Sara graduated from the University of Alicante with a degree in Translation and Interpreting of English in 2010. She was also appointed sworn translator and interpreter of English by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  After working in England for a year, she joined Ballester IP, where she worked as a sworn translation and paralegal while studying a degree in Law. After leaving the firm to complete her master’s in law in 2018 and providing services to EUIPO for a few months via a consulting firm, she joined our team again in 2019 as an attorney. Since then, Sara has been working with clients from different industries in the prosecution and enforcement of their IP rights.

Since 2021, Sara regularly participates in INTA Committees. She is also an authorised representative before the EUIPO and is registered as a Spanish Patent and Trademark Attorney before the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office.

Manuela holds a degree in Translation and Interpreting (English-Spanish) from the University of Alicante and is an English-Spanish sworn translator appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. She also has a Master’s degree in Translation and New Technologies.

Manuela has been working in Ballester IP as a translator and paralegal since 2014. She is mainly responsible for the comprehensive management of trademark portfolios in all jurisdictions, portfolio audits, strategy and project coordination, IP transactions and patent and design prosecution and monitoring.

Nereida holds a degree in Translation and Interpreting (English-Spanish) from the University of Alicante and is an English-Spanish sworn translator appointed by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation. She also has a Master’s degree in English teaching for secondary education.

She has been working in Ballester IP since 2014 as a translator and paralegal. Nereida is responsible for the prosecution and docketing of trademarks, patents and designs in all jurisdictions. She also coordinates patent and validation projects.
